Introduction

Thank you for purchasing a Roark Design Mobile Shower Chair (MSC). It is our hope
that this MSC will provide you with years of comfortable reliable use and minimal
hindrance.

Safety First

● Upon receipt of this MSC check the fitment with your prescribe
● Read this manual thoroughly and understand it prior to using the MSC.
● Each MSC has been prescribed for a specific individual onl
● The maximum user weight is 130kg.
● The MSC has been tested to AS/NZ 3973:2009.
● It is important for your safety that this MSC is used correctly and as intended.
● Never use it on a slope greater than 5° or 1:12. Never lean forwards as this
may result in the MSC tipping forward.
● Never lean out of the side of the MSC as this may result in the MSC tipping
over.
● Never lean backwards out of the MSC as this may cause the MSC to tip
backwards.

Use Environment

This MSC has been designed for use in a domestic environment. It is only to be
used in a fresh water shower.
Never immerse the MSC in a pool or bath.
User

This MSC is designed for a full time wheelchair user of unimpaired cognition.
The user must be able to competently manage a manual wheelchair.
The maximum user weight must be less than 130kg.

Maintenance

For any spares, cite your chair number which can be found on the label on the
torsion bar under the cushion.
Regularly check the MSC over for loose joints or play.
Ensure that both the Locking Pins and Locking Tubes deploy smoothly.
Replace the backrest and cushion every 2-3 years or as required.
Should you require spares contact Roark Design or your distributor.
Cease use should any problem be detected that could compromise the safe
operation of the MSC and contact your distributor or Roark Design.

Cleaning

Clean the MSC regularly and avoid the buildup of scale or soap residue.
Do not use abrasive pads or products on the MSC.
Do not use products containing chlorine on the MSC.
Disinfect with Oxivir TB.
Clean with Antibacterial Detergent.
Air dry between uses and or storage.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty does not cover any MSC that has its serial number defaced or
removed. Warranty does not cover unauthorised modifications, repairs, improper
storage, damage caused by transportation, improper use or abuse. Warranty will not
apply to normal wear and tear or failure to adhere to the instructions contained in
this manual. Only Roark Design will determine if the issue is covered under warranty
or not.
